Getting to know the reasons that caused the tenants’ move-out would provide storage owners with a better understanding of the needs and expectations of their tenants. It would also help them make better choices in organizing the requirements and amenities for their facility and pull even more tenants into the business.
At the time of completing the move-out process, there will be a field ‘Reason for leaving’ that prompts to give reasons for their decision to move out of the facility.
By default, the dropdown will have pre-set options to choose from. If you don’t find your reasons in the list and you want to add a new reason to the list, click on ‘Add Vacate Reason’ at the bottom of the list. You can see a dialog pops up showing options to edit/delete existing reasons and to add a new reason. Enter your reason and click on ‘Save.’
Now you can see the entered reason added to the list.
However, if you want to give a different reason but don’t want to add it to the list, you can choose ‘Other’ and type down your reasons in the text area.
Once you enter the reason and choose the payment type, you can proceed to move out. After moving out, you may check the units list in the ‘Tenant’s tab where the reasons for move-out is displayed.
