Merchandise in the 6Storage Admin Portal

Set up and manage retail inventory such as locks, boxes, or moving supplies sold at your facility.

The Merchandise section allows you to configure and sell items such as boxes, locks, tape, and more. You can manage your merchandise inventory through settings and sell items to tenants during move-in or directly from their profile.

 

Configuring Merchandise

To manage your merchandise:

  • Go to Settings > Financial Settings > Add-Ons > Merchandise

 

Here, you’ll see a list of all configured merchandise, including:

  • Supplier
  • Buying price
  • Selling price
  • Quantity in stock
  • Order point

To update existing merchandise, click the Action button on the right side of any product row to edit its details.

 

Adding New Merchandise

To add a new product:

 

  1. Click Add New Product
  2. Fill in the following information:
    • Supplier
    • Buying price
    • Selling price
    • Quantity in stock
    • Order point
  3. Click Save to add the item to your inventory

 

Selling Merchandise During Move-In

  • During Step 2 of the move-in process, you will have the option to select and sell merchandise
  • Any configured items will be available for selection

 

Selling Merchandise to an Existing Tenant

You can also sell merchandise at any time from a tenant's profile:

  1. Go to the tenant's profile
  2. Click the menu button in the Rental Details section
  3. Select Create Invoice
  4. Choose Custom Invoice (merchandise should not have a billing period)

5. Click Add New Item and choose merchandise from the dropdown
6. Save the invoice to charge the tenant

 

Viewing Purchased Merchandise

  • Go to the tenant’s profile
  • Click on the Add-ons tab
  • Select Merchandise to view all items purchased by the tenant
