Release Notes: October 26, 2026

This release introduces several key enhancements and bug fixes across the Admin Portal and Rental Portal. Key updates include EU international requirements, Manual Rate Change (bulk), payment webhook improvements, Twilio SMS integration, and mobile optimization for the Rental Hub.

Admin Portal

• Authentication code
  1. Two-factor authentication for 6storage users will be sent only Emails from now onwards.
• Leads
  1. Introduced additional lead types to support different customer scenarios:
     1. Other -> Additional option for the operator to select when creating a lead
     2. Online Drop-off -> A customer begins but does not finish a Rental Hub move-in
     3. Inquiry -> A customer submits the Rental Hub inquiry form (Currently “Open Unit Lead”)
     4. Waitlist -> A customer selects Join Waitlist (Currently "Waitlist Lead")
• Tenant Profile
  1. Now a one-time discount can be applied while creating the custom invoice.
  2. Implemented the functionality to delete the Invoice Discount and Invoice Credit Note.
• Mass Messaging
  1. Added display order for the Units and Tenants columns.
• Rate Manager
  1. Prevented the Upcoming Rate Manager tab from reappearing when the new rate is the same as the current rate.
  2. Changing the Increase date in bulk for the selected tenants for whom the date is valid.
  3. Added the ability to change a tenant’s rate directly from the Tenant Profile. An effective date is required for each new rate change, and the change is recorded in the rate history. The effective date can be selected between the tenant’s move-in date and the current date
  4. Implemented the Manual Rate Change.
• Delinquency
  1. Removed the boards displayed in the delinquency screen based on the “Access Control and Overlock”
• Report
  1. Refund transactions are now appearing in the report.
  2. Invoice Details -> Added a column for Invoice Type.
• Billing
  1. Added a separate column for invoice origination.
• Settings
  1. Unit Type
     1. Provided the ability to edit the Dimension Format and Dimension Display Type even when units are assigned to that unit type.
  2. Tax Effective Date
     1. Allows the current date when creating tax if the facility doesn’t have active tax
  3. Invoice Preferences
     1. Implemented the Cutoff Day setting.
        • The following changes apply only when the invoice period is Monthly and the billing cycle starts on the first day of the month:
        • Admin Portal – Move-in: When enabled, the Additional Period is automatically set to 1. The user can change the Additional Period to 0.
        • Rental Portal – Move-in: When enabled, the Additional Period is automatically set to 1. The tenant cannot change it to 0.
        • Transfer: The Cutoff Day setting does not apply to transfers.
  4. Payment Type
     1. Hidden the Credit payment type.
  5. Access Control/Overlock
     1. Moved the “Minimum Digit Requirement” to Access Control/Overlock.
     2. Changed the tooltip Information.
• Integration
  1. Webhook for Payment Postback
     1. The payment flow will continue using webhooks when the payment record is not updated in the database unexpectedly, even if the payment is successful.
  2. Added SEPA message for the Stripe-connected accounts.
  3. QuickBooks Sync
     1. Show the reason for the QuickBooks Sync Failed record when we hover over the info icon.
  4. Twilio
     1. Implemented the Twilio integration to send SMS.
• Documents
  1. Lease Security Deposit macro is now working as expected in the documents as well.
  2. Added the following new macros
     1. Discount Termination Date.
     2. Is Tenant Storing Vehicle
• International Requirements
  1. We have implemented the following features to onboard the new operators for the EU region
     1. Language translation
        • Implemented language translation for both portals.
        • We have implemented language translation for the rental portal even if the tenant didn’t log in
     2. XML
        • We can export the data to XML.
        • For XML functionality to work, we need to add the data in the backend manually.
     3. Lease upload
        • Added a separate column for Country code.
• Bug Fixes
  1. Now we have added a restriction when the user switches and changes the credentials for the 6security integration.
  2. We made the “Fee Type” required when adding the Late Fee.
  3. Mass Messaging
     1. Resolved the inaccurate tenant selection when filtering.
  4. Payment
     1. Changed the API function suggested by the payment gateway integration support so that we can restrict duplicate payments
     2. Resolved the double payments happening by adding validations when making a payment with an invalid deposit amount using ACH payment.
     3. SMS will be sent for Autopay cc failed records as well
  5. Transfer
     1. The transfer is working as expected even when you turn off all three toggles.
     2. We are adding the old lease due to the Tenant credit as a negative balance.
  6. Move-out
     1. Resolved the issue of Move-out when we have zero outstanding balance
  7. Tenant Profile
     1. Delete invoice is working as expected without throwing the error.
  8. Billing
     1. Now the export to Excel is working fine without any issues.
• Rental Portal - Optimisation of Mobile View
  1. Added a collapse option for Amenities and Description.
  2. Added a collapse option for filters in the rental screen on the mobile view.
  3. Scrolling to the top of the screen every time to go to the new screen and when getting a warning or error toast.
  4. Darken the dropdown border for the units in the rent now screen
• Bug Fixes
  1. Disabled editing of the move-in date in the second step to prevent invalid invoice periods.
  2. Fixed the 6Security integration so that terminals are updated according to the Terminal Index when the Update button is clicked.
  3. Added scrolling support to the Content Coverage dropdown.
