[Tenants](https://help.6storage.com/knowledge-base/admin-portal?hsLang=en#tenants) May 22, 2026 # How to Merge Two Tenants Into One Tenant Profile ## Sometimes you can end up with two tenant profiles for one person.  Here is how you can merge them together.   When a tenant moves into multiple units it is possible to end up with **multiple tenant profiles**.   This can happen if the tenant provides separate information such as **name, email address,** and **phone number** during the second move in. **Merging tenant profiles** together can be done from the **tenant's profile** by the **Super Admin** (Account Owner)   Things to note - Only the **Super Admin (Account Owner)** has **merge permissions** - Tenants belonging to **different facilities** within the same account **cannot be merged** - If a **tenant profile** has all of its units moved to another **tenant profile** it will disappear   **Accessing a Tenant Profile** You can access a tenant’s profile by: - Using the **search bar** at the top of the screen - Clicking on the **Tenants** tab and selecting a tenant from the list ![Screenshot 2026-05-21 133815-1](https://help.6storage.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-05-21%20133815-1.png?width=670&height=146&name=Screenshot%202026-05-21%20133815-1.png)     **Merging the tenants** - Start by selecting **Merge Tenant** - This should be done in the **tenant profile** of the unit you would like to move to another **tenant profile** ![Screenshot 2026-05-22 083106](https://help.6storage.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-05-22%20083106.png?width=670&height=330&name=Screenshot%202026-05-22%20083106.png)   - **Select the tenant** that you would like this profile to be merged with ![](https://help.6storage.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Feb-10-2026-03-10-50-1327-PM.png?width=670&height=143&name=undefined-Feb-10-2026-03-10-50-1327-PM.png)   - **Select the unit** that you would like to move to the chosen tenant profile  ![](https://help.6storage.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Feb-10-2026-03-13-14-5166-PM.png?width=466&height=215&name=undefined-Feb-10-2026-03-13-14-5166-PM.png)     - **Add a comment** for your records and select **confirm**  ![](https://help.6storage.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Feb-10-2026-03-14-35-2615-PM.png?width=670&height=374&name=undefined-Feb-10-2026-03-14-35-2615-PM.png)           - [What's New?
