How to Waive a Fee in the 6Storage Admin Portal
Learn how to waive late fees or other charges for a tenant when necessary.
Waiving a fee is simple and can be done directly from the tenant’s profile. Follow the steps below to waive a late or lien fee.
Step 1: Locate the Tenant Profile
To find a tenant’s profile:
- Use the search bar at the top for quick access
- Or, go to the Tenants tab in the tool bar at the top and select the tenant from the list

Step 2: Open the Rental Options Menu
Within the tenant’s profile:
- Find the Rental Details section
- Click the menu icon in the top right of that section
- From the dropdown, select Late-Lien Fees

Step 3: Select the Invoice
You’ll be brought to a screen showing a list of the tenant’s outstanding invoices:
- Use the checkboxes on the left to select the invoice that includes the late fee you want to waive

Step 4: Waive the Fee
- Locate the fee under the "Waive Fee" column
- Check the box to waive the corresponding late/lien fee

Step 5: Add a Comment and Save
- You’ll be required to enter a comment when waiving the fee but this will not be seen by the tenant
- Once entered, click Save to finalize the waive
